Hi there! I'm Meghan.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me! If you are going to be inviting me to document your story, it only feels right to share a bit about myself with you as well! I began my journey as a birth doula in 2017, shortly after the birth of my first son. After experiencing firsthand the power, strength, (and vulnerability!!) that comes with pregnancy, labor, and the immediate postpartum period, I fell in love with the art of birth. I've had the honor of being invited to come alongside families during their transition to parenthood. I've experienced the joy of new life, as well as devastating loss, and all of this has impacted how I show up as a birth doula and behind the lens as a photographer for my clients.
I am a lover of Jesus and people, and I am so grateful to stand by Nick as his wife. I am a mama to the three sweetest and most curious little boys on the planet. I love connecting with others, and building communities for families to connect and be encouraged alongside others. I am a lifelong learner in the process of pursuing licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I enjoy mountain biking, writing, kayaking, camping, snowboarding, searching local spots for live music, and drinking coffee with friends.
I cannot wait to get to know you and be a part of your story.

Birth
Each of my children's births was unique and transformative
Each birth challenged me, grew me, and empowered me in their own ways.
Amidst beauty + life. I also experienced loss and deep grief that transformed my worldview.

JUNE 2017
I delivered our firstborn in a birth center down in Westby. Brooks made me a mama. His birth taught me how strong I was, but that being strong alone wasn't enough. This postpartum experience made me realize just how badly I needed a community to surround me in the motherhood transition.
Our second was a precipitous labor and unassisted delivery in an SUV. We were driving along a backcountry road, racing to get home for a planned home birth, and my dear friend helped me catch Bryer just before the First Responders arrived. This was March of 2020, and he was born a week before the the world shut down in the pandemic.
MAY 2021
Our third was a surprise pregnancy, and another speedy birth at home. My husband and I were at home together, just the two of us, when Callen was born before the midwife arrived. Postpartum with Callen was a season of softening for me, and learning to accept so much support.
